Cynthia Singleton, Plant Human Resources Manager,
welcomed our guests and shared the Plant's 100-Year celebration theme of "100 Years of Progress and Innovation." She also provided an overview of the year's celebration events and the importance of this milestone.

Mayor Carol Marinovich, Mayor of Kansas City, KS,
spoke of the Plant's contribution to the community over the last 100 years.

Dave Smith, President of the Boys & Girls Club,
spoke on the Plant's significant cash donations to his organization over the past several years.

Wendell Maddox, Board Chairman of the United Way of Kansas City, KS,
spoke of the Plant's consistently high annual United Way campaign outcome.

Jaime Montoya, Kansas City Plant Manager,
the key speaker for the day, explained why community service, involvement, and partnerships are important to our business and what's needed to ensure P&G remains in Kansas City, KS, for another 100 years.

Khalid Hajji, North America Home Care Director,
shared the importance of this 100-year milestone and what it means to the plant's present and future. He told of the plant's history of good results and its potential and recognized that 100 years of success entails more than business changes. He spoke of the spirit of the plant that has allowed it to survive 100 years of economic, social, and business changes.

After the program, guests and employees celebrated with cake and punch.

The decoration on the cake is a replica of a medallion that the Kansas City Plant gave to P&G Cincinnati corporate offices in 1937, when the company celebrated 100 years in business.

Liz Lyon shows Mayor Marinovich and Chamber President Cindy Cash our plant product display cases, which contain at least one sample of almost all of the 50+ products that have been produced at this plant sometime in the last 100 years.
